The IY 9.98 Lady Day, helmed by Corrado Annis, has triumphed at the International Sailing Week, organized by the Yacht Club Adriaco in Trieste. With an impressive performance of four first-place finishes out of five races, Lady Day has showcased its extraordinary potential and the preparation of its talented crew.
Among the crew members are promising young sailors: brothers Kim and Noè Magnani, two of the top 420 sailors in Italy, along with Margherita Annis, all aged between 16 and 19. Their competitive spirit and synergy on board played a crucial role in this remarkable achievement.
Now, Lady Day is gearing up for the Barcolana, where Anna and Eugenia Schiavon, the Magnani brothers, Margherita Annis, and two other talented young women will join the crew, while Corrado Annis will take on the role of team manager. This new lineup promises to bring even more enthusiasm and determination as they prepare for this historic regatta.
A commendable second place was secured by the sistership Take Five, helmed by Roberto Distefano, which also demonstrated great competitiveness with four second-place finishes, landing just behind Lady Day on the podium.
Congratulations to all team members! The future of sailing looks bright, and we eagerly anticipate what the upcoming events will bring.
