We don’t often see the IY 11.98 Varenne on the racecourse, but when she’s there, she makes her presence known loud and clear. That’s exactly what happened in Catania, where she secured a brilliant victory in the 2024 Winter Championship. While not a particularly crowded series, the level of competition is quite high, and every race is hard-fought.
“With few boats, but characterized by the high technical level of the crews, we were very consistent in the results of the individual races, which led us to be very satisfied. We’re starting to get to know the boat better and find the right adjustments,” commented Giovanni Toscano, owner of this thoroughbred, which won five out of the six races in the championship. “I must express my sincere thanks to the entire crew: sailing with lifelong friends and my own son brings wonderful emotions… and if the results follow, it’s even better!”
