Take Five Jr Commands the 50th Regata dei Due Golfi. At its milestone 50th edition, the Regata dei Due Golfi, organized by the Yacht Club Lignano was dominated by Take Five Jr, our IY 9.98 owner Roberto Distefano. With three bullets in six races, the team secured overall victory, proving untouchable throughout the event. “It was five tight races in medium breeze, hard-fought right up to the final mark,” Distefano commented. “We had great duels with competitive boats like Hebe and Demon X. In the end, even Sideracordis finished just one point behind us.” With a young and driven crew, Take Five Jr showed exceptional teamwork and tactical precision, delivering a performance that reflects the solid, race-ready design of the IY 9.98. The campaign is proudly supported by Cantiere Nautico Planais, BLS, Menocarta Service, and TeleFriuli/Mario Fumei.

Sarchiapone and Wanderlust Deliver Strong Performances at PalmaVela Meanwhile in Spain, with sights firmly set on the upcoming ORC European Championship, Sarchiapone the IY 9.98 owned by Gianluigi Dubbini and skippered by Piero Biasi, made waves at PalmaVela, clinching an impressive second place in ORC Class 3. Over the course of three rigorous days of racing, the team participated in four races under varying conditions, ranging from serene calmness to winds exceeding 30 knots. Both the crew and the vessel were pushed to their limits. “There wasn’t a dull moment,” the crew shared. “We crossed the finish line exhausted, but thrilled with the result.” Also turning heads was Wanderlust, the IY 9.98 helmed by Josep Pons, finishing fourth overall, just two points off the podium, a testament to the consistent competitiveness of the IY 9.98, even in challenging international fleets.
